BRAVO as Nigeria records its first SUICIDE BOMBING

"E no fit happen for Naija and “Nigerians too like life to die’.

Nigeria, Nigeria, Nigeria, nothing moves it and its nationals and we so strongly believe we are immune from the world. This believe is typified by the phrases "e no fit happen for Naija and “Nigerians too like life to die’.

As post independence began to witness the accentuation of the indigenous nationalist, whispers and rumors of corruption and primitive accumulation was heard only in the bedrooms and justified as our 'birthright”.

The encouragement of quota over merit was emphasized and as the forms of governance were copied, the norms and values that typify these systems were thrown out of the window through lip service. Any wonder that the nation harvested  coups, counter coups and the civil war that led to the death of millions of Nigerians and finally polarized the nation.

In the spirit of "e no fit happen for Naija and “Nigerians too like life to die’, the nation witnessed all sorts of mis-governance such as ;carton money (rent for houses occupied by military); import incense katakata; Overthrow of Gowon; Daylight murder of General Murtala;N2.8billion and Buhari; Overthrow of the second republic; Creation of a massive foreign debt profile by the second republic politicians;$12billion windfall scandal; The Gideon Orkar response: The introduction and condoning of religious intolerance via Maitaisine;  Annulment of the June 12 elections; Deliberate looting of the Central bank by the goggled one; Bombing & shooting of Nigerians by the Strike force; Suspicious death of Abiola and depletion of our foreign reserves in 6months; The missing funds for roads valued at N300billion; Abduction of a serving Governor Ngige.

The next level of mis-governance gave birth to ;KALAKUTA & THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER; DELE GIWA;MAITAISINE;ZANGO-KATAF;OPC;MASSOB;JOS;MEND;ABDUL MUTALLAB and the new kids on the block BOKO HARAM and as usual the state and its agencies reacted and even bent over to be politically correct. The actors were made chiefs, those arrested never convicted and some even paid compensation.

In 2009 the French government asked all its nationals in Niger Republic ( that shares a border with Nigeria) to relocate to the capital or leave the country as Al-Qaida had infiltrated the country, Nigeria remained unconcerned. Even when foreigners were arrested in the Jos crisis Nigeria remained unperturbed because "e no fit happen for Naija and “Nigerians too like life to die’.

Kudos to Boko Haram  for pioneering Suicide Bombing in Nigeria at a very symbolical site the Police headquarters. They have been deliberate and consistent with their objectives and have upped the game for our security apparatus that have become moribund.

The way forward is :

  • Enlightenment to all those who believe or have sympathy for these actors that bullets do not differentiate friend from foe and there is no way to draw the line. They should be referred to Iraq where women, children, men, combatants are killed daily at weddings, funerals, offices et al. That we must all come together as Muslims and Christians and make Nigeria inhabitable for them.
  • A departure from checkpoint security (Physical security) to technology and intelligence driven security. A declaration of a state of emergency in the Intelligence sector to weed our collaborators, dead woods and politicians. Also use this opportunity to bring our operatives to speed. This is the only place where the war can be won.
  • Seek the SPONSORS no matter how highly placed, prosecute, convict and execute them.
  • Deal with all combatants through military courts. Also hastily deal with all those found culpable in the various religious and post election riots.
  • Ensure all those on death row have their cases reviewed and those still found guilty should be ‘removed’ so as to prevent them from being ready recruits through frequent jail breaks.
  • Aclampdown on all regional arms dumps.
  • Shut down the boaders and sanction Customs officials.

Ladies and Gentlemen , these Boko people HAVE DECLARED WAR on Nigeria…and what you cannot confront you cannot change.
